We have always had excellent, congenial relationships with our clients, and are willing to be flexible in most situations. To keep things straight and harmonious let's get a few conditions out of the way:

To secure a reservation we require your credit card details. Full payment will be charged to your credit card 90 days prior to departure.

If you are over 70 years, please consult your doctor to check your physical fitness. We suggest you take out comprehensive travel insurance. This normal precaution does not reflect any likelihood of accident, injury or loss during your guided walk. Discuss with us if you plan to travel with your children.

Please inform us in advance of any existing medical conditions or special requirements. This information will be kept confidential. On the trail please discuss any problems or concerns with your guide.

We reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any trip should weather or any other circumstance necessitate this. We will do our best to find a suitable alternative and refund any deposits. Once the trek has started no portion of the package payment is refundable in the event of an individual or group being unable to proceed further on the trail, for whatever reason.

HikeTaiwan guides make all arrangements for these tours on the condition that it shall not be liable for any sickness, injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned, either directly or indirectly, by reason of any defect in any vehicle, vessel or aircraft, by weather, by any other cause, or through acts of default of a company or person engaged in conveying clients, or in carrying out arrangements for these tours.

All cancellations must be made in writing or by email. Cancellation fees are charged on the following basis per person:

Outside 90 days from date of hike departure: US$ 200 per person
Between 89-21 days from date of hike departure: 50% of full fare
Within 21 days of date of hike departure: 100% of full fare

These fees are non negotiable, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.

We process credit card payments through the on-line secure server of PayPal. You can securely pay by Pound Sterling, American Dollar, Australian Dollar, Euro, New Zealand Dollar, Swiss Franc, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona, Danish Krone, Polish Zloty, Hungarian Forint, Czech Koruna, Singapore Dollar, Japanese Yen and Hong Kong Dollar with your Visa or MasterCard for all our tours.
